Astrology in the kitchen! How do foods enhance the influence of the planets?

Vedic astrology Jyotish in its predictions operates with such a concept as upaya – this is a method of harmonizing the planets. According to this method, certain foods increase the influence of the planets, depending on the day of the week.

What is upaya?

As already mentioned, upaya are tools and methods for harmonizing the planets in the horoscope. There are several types of upay. It could be:

* post on certain days,

* recitation of mantras,

* wearing gems,

* charity,

* wearing clothes of a certain color,

* Eating certain foods

* conducting rituals, etc.

Monday (moon day) is a Yin, passive day. Monday is the best day of the week to perfor, household chores, food preparation, household care, water procedures li,e taking an epsom salt and essential oils bath and relaxed swimming in the ocean or a swimming pool (but not competitions) are quite suitable at this time. 

You should be careful not to irritate the stomach with too fatty dishes, avoid pickles, marinades, alcohol, confectionery, generally reduce the amount of flour products, do not add too much salt to food, do not eat any smoked meats. Exclude everything spicy, including tomatoes, garlic, onions; sour, fatty, salty, smoked. 

Dairy products, oatmeal, berries (expect sour one) and fruits (except citrus) are recommended.

Monday is the day of the moon. What foods enhance the influence of the moon?

* Aquatic Plants: Rice and other aquatic plants, especially those that bloom at night.

* Juicy, soft or oily plants: eg melon, coconut, cucumber, corn.

* Stewed or steamed vegetables (the only dish that does not get better if eaten at night), and in general all stewed and steamed foods.

* Dairy. To strengthen and harmonize the moon, it is good to drink after 18:00 or just before bedtime a glass of warm milk with spices (with cardamom and fennel, and if you have restless sleep, it is useful to add grated nutmeg). For taste, you can add a spoonful of honey to it.

* Herbs and spices: nutmeg, fennel, mint, lemon balm.

* Chilled products.

Any other dairy products.

* Olive oil.

* Melon (best not to mix with anything as it is a good cleanser for the digestive tract).

* Coconut (same recommendation for coconut milk as for melon).

* Almond.

* Tea from the following herbs: chamomile, mint (men should not be taken in large quantities, otherwise it reduces potency), any other calming and relaxing herbs

* Poppy seeds 

* Ordinary water (it is also called the drink of the sages, and cold water drunk in the morning on an empty stomach also cleanses the body of toxins, and in the most natural and easy way).
