Jyotish — Vedic Astrology: The Eyes of Knowledge

Jyotish, or Vedic astrology, is an exact science rooted in the laws of the material world: the law of reincarnation and the law of karma.

In the view of Jyotish, your birth and every event in your life are not random — they’re direct consequences of your past actions, forming links in one continuous karmic chain: your destiny.

Our deeds and fates are “written” in the heavens, reflected in the movements of stars and planets. At birth, the heavens issue us a kind of cosmic passport — the horoscope.

This horoscope reveals the map of your destiny and helps you see the patterns that weave through the universe, of which we are all a part.

A horoscope isn’t just about prediction — it helps you understand why events unfold as they do, to accept your journey, to become aware of your responsibility for your actions.

But most importantly: it helps you see yourself as part of a vast world where everything is connected, where everything has deep meaning, purpose and is infused with divine love.

In Jyotish, nine planets are used:

🌞 Seven visible planets, from the Sun to Saturn, and

🌚 Two shadow planets — Rahu and Ketu.

In the ancient texts, these seven planets are compared to the seven colours of the rainbow, while Rahu and Ketu represent the invisible parts of the spectrum: infrared and ultraviolet.

As the planets travel through the zodiac, they “mix the paints” of our destiny — the pure white cosmic light at the centre of all galaxies refracts through our solar system, creating the unique palette of every individual’s life.

🔭 Jyotish helps us not only to see the rich, colourful picture of our fate — but also to recognise the source of all colours: the Supreme Artist, the One who holds all destinies in Their hands.

In its highest purpose, Vedic astrology is not just about fate; it’s about knowing the divine itself. That’s why Jyotish is called “the eyes of knowledge” — it allows us to see the unseen.
