I never read for myself — my clarity comes from meditation. As I drift to sleep, I focus on my breath until my thoughts dissolve; upon waking, I spend about twenty minutes doing the same. If my concentration wavers during the day, I return to that breath — a reset button for my mind.
When it comes to Tarot, I rarely use a deck for more than three spreads in a single day. That’s why I keep many decks — each one fresh, alive, and ready to speak. My focus is effortless when I connect with a person and their question; the real work is protecting that focus from outside distractions.
My readings happen at my altar, on a magical cloth, in a space where I feel centred and undisturbed. Whenever possible, I read face to face, but I also work beautifully over FaceTime. Years ago, a blog reader named Thomas gifted me a Golden Dawn text — a fascinating book that inspired me to try their rituals. They fit perfectly into my practice, but truthfully, I have always felt as though my portal for seeing is already wide open.
The greater challenge is not in perceiving truth but in speaking it — with gentleness, yet without compromise. I never want my insight to land like a wet towel across the face; I want it to open a door. For this, trust is everything. My role is to create an atmosphere where the client feels safe, welcomed, and ready — so that the reading becomes not just an exchange of information, but a moment of connection and transformation.
