Asteria is the goddess of the shooting stars, astrology, the constellations, prophetic dreams and

the magic powers of night. She has dominion over various magical arts, including astrology, divination, dreaming, and necromancy. 

Astoria shall be a friend of witches. She is the mother of Hekate (Hecate), the goddess of magic and witchcraft

Do not mistake her with Nyxm the goddess of the night who creates pain, dark spirits and death.

In ancient art, Artesia is usually depicted as a dark-haired woman wearing a crown of stars. Sometimes all zodiac signs surround her. 

Asteria escaped the romantic advances of zeus by shapeshifting into a quail.  Then she went into  the Aegean Sea and become island of Delos. Her symbols are stars, dreams, the zodiac, the quail, and white asters.
