Gaja-Kesari Yoga: The Yoga of the Elephant and the Lion. Jupiter (Guru) is positioned in a Kendra (angular house: 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th)

Gaja-Kesari Yoga is formed when Jupiter (Guru) is positioned in a Kendra (angular house: 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th) from either the Ascendant (Lagna) or the Moon (Chandra).

For this yoga to be fully empowered, additional conditions must be met:

Jupiter should be conjoined with or aspected by a benefic planet;

It must not be combust, not debilitated (in “Neecha” sign), and not placed in an enemy sign.

Very often, the first condition alone – Jupiter in a Kendra from the Ascendant or Moon – is enough to form a basic Gaja-Kesari Yoga.

However, when the second set of conditions is also fulfilled, the yoga becomes very powerful and auspicious, rising to the strength of a Raja Yoga.

This combination bestows:

High social standing

Nobility and generosity

Good health and a virtuous nature

Respect, fame, and a noble reputation

In Albert Einstein’s horoscope, a strong Gaja-Kesari Yoga is present, contributing to his intellectual greatness and the deep respect he garnered worldwide.
