Being the last suit, Spades live and act differently than the rest of the cards. In some respects, they can rise above the worries and anxieties that prevail over the representatives of the other three suits. Due to their extraordinary willpower, Spades can resist the manipulation of Cups, Clubs, and even Diamonds.

If Spades work, they are always concerned with the quality of their work. The quality is more important than the profit that it generates. They want to be the best in the field, proud of their results.

On a lower level of spiritual development, they can be workaholics and slaves, bound by the shackles of hopeless, routine labor.

A Spade’s boss often is overdemanding, expects the best results, and applies exceptional severity and ruthlessness to his subordinates if he is not satisfied. He expects the assistants to invest as much effort into the work as he does. He will be very grateful and generous if subordinates work hard and exceed his expectations.

Spades are associated with the sign of Scorpio – a symbol of death, sex and strength. Spades often are mighty people, endowed with unbending will. Therefore, many Spades people are forced to solve the power problems in their relationships.
