Ideal time for writing and creating spells is to believe around Imbolc when Brigit powers at it it’s fullest (February 2) and on April’s Full day (April 1) when all winds spark creativity.

You need

• a yellow candle,

quarter candies in corresponding colours (best be rainbow colours)

• place a sea shell for the West

• faeries for the East

lizard images for the south

• flowers for the north

• Magic Book and writing pencil or a laptop

• Incense: A mixture of patchouli for mastery, sage for wisdom, and ylang-ylang for harmony.

You can dress your candies with a mixture of these smells.

You can set a music on to get inspired. Some may find music helpful – some – districting. Follow your mood.

Preparation

You can take a ritual bath to invoke goddesses to help you. When muse visits you and you fill your ideas with spirit to awaken writers drive.

After the bath, go to your altar or any place that is comfortable to work.

Set your candies, incenses, and all that you feel fit.

Start the Ritual

Turn music on and light the incense

Light the candles on asking each color candle for creative inspiration from each element.

Cast the circle.

Set in the center and meditate until your mind is clear of everyday hustle and bustle and you have a sensation you are filled with creative energies.

Inhale and exhale 4 times.

Light the yellow candle.

Spend time watching the flicker of candlelight and follow your inspiration to write.

Do not rush yourself. It could take you from few minutes to an hour. Trust in your intuition. When you complete a draft, blue out the candle. Open the circle and thank the 4 quarters. You can reuse the candle for further creative works.

Now you have your own magical poem that you can use for creating spells and even pass it to your friends and family. Keep your spell safe. Copy your spell to your Book of Shadows. Hold it sacred as it came from your heart.
