Veles in Slavic mythology is the God of three worlds. This is the God of fertility, animal husbandry, and therefore the God of wealth. He is also the God of wisdom and knowledge. In other traditions, the hypostasis of Veles is Odin and Mercury.

Rituals to Veles for protection, finances, and health

We perform the ritual in the evening, closer to midnight, on any day. But there are special days during the year for this ritual. These are: February 3 and 22. May 30, July 12 and September 14.

Making an Altar for Veles.

An altar can be made both outdoors and at home. We cover the altar of the house with natural black fabric (can be white or red). You can draw the sign of Veles on the fabric.

We are also preparing 4 wax candles.

Before the ceremony, we clear the room of all kinds of negativity. There are many ways to clean a room – you choose.

Suitable plants include wormwood, nettle, thistle, juniper, sage, St. John’s wort, and basil. It is better to collect the herbs and dry them yourself. You can fumigate a room with one of these herbs, or you can make a composition of several. After fumigation, ventilate the room.

You can clean the room with a candle. Light a candle and go around the room three times clockwise.

Light 4 wax candles (for ~30 minutes of burning)

We begin the ritual with an offering to Veles. We pour our alcohol (vodka or something else, but strong) onto a stone and into a glass.

Now we turn to Veles. You can use your own words. We ask him to accept the offering.

And now we address Veles respectfully in our own words. We can make requests for finances, health, work, protection. Make only one request, of course. The one that is most important to you at the moment.

You can also give honey and bread as gifts. It’s very good if you bake the bread yourself.

The next day you carry the gifts under the tree, where you pour the alcohol from the glass with words of praise and gratitude.
